Checking my email has become so much more fun since I started BecauseMollySaidSo. In my inbox this morning was a real resignation letter to upper management at an anonymous company. This guy cites that his reason for resigning from his job is his desire to surrender to conforming and start life over as a pirate. You just can’t make this shit up. I took out the name of the guy and the company to protect this guy’s right to a peaceful piracy, although that sounds like an oxymoron. How can one become a pirate peacefully? Anyways, enjoy! Awesome. God speed! But perhaps even better was management’s response to this pirate in training:
Yeah. I’m jealous of this place of employment. The only reasons people have quit at jobs I’ve worked at in the past are due to stealing, or punching computer screens. And I guess that’s not really quitting, as they were forced to leave.
